Crawfish Boil with the Pointe-au-Chien Indian Tribe (PACIT)

Down on one of the farthest edges of the Louisiana coast sits a small community called Pointe-au-Chien. For the last year I have dedicated my work to helping the tribe (PACIT) with their application for federal recognition, and for correcting some egregious errors in Native American history. This weekend we had the opportunity to go down to the bayou for some light-hearted fun and a ton of amazing food. I brought a few of my maps and posters for the members to look at throughout the day, and spent most of my time answering questions.
