Found this story on CNN. Now if only the city of Syracuse would listen to me and use solar-powered street lamps, we’d save a lot of money!
The second half of this story is about a man who took a different approach to charity — capitalism. I’m still not entirely sure I buy his whole “you have to respect them to sell them your product” shtick, but it’s interesting either way the progress being made in impoverished places because of alternative energy resources. Solar will save Africa!
